Who is ready to adventure!? My name is Buddy, I am a 3 year old, male, Lab/Shepherd mix weighing in at about 50 pounds! I am here because the wonderful people at The Cantu Foundation found me being attacked by three other dogs and they saved me, but don’t worry, that scary experience hasn’t effected my ability to make new friends everywhere I go. One of my favorite activities is hiking and as long as you help give me a proper introduction, I love meeting all the other dogs and people we will meet while we are exploring!
I have a very old fracture on my right arm that is not painful, sometimes I use it and sometimes I don’t. My rescuers have opted not to amputate it since I get around so magically! I am house trained, have good leash manners, and respond well to training so we can work together to improve any of my awesome skills.
Inside the home I am the sweetest, most loving dog ever! Every day I just want to cuddle, play for a bit, and then nap. I tend to get attached so I would do best in a home where there is a human or dog to play with most of the time. My foster mom is helping me to be more independent and gives me yummy treats when I’m in my crate. I LOVE playing with squeaky toys and wrestling with my foster dog siblings the most and I am just a happy boy! I’m still getting used to car rides. My foster mom says I’m good at not being too protective. In short I am affectionate, trainable and gentle!
I really could thrive in any loving home, with or without other dogs but if there are no other dogs then I’d love for my new humans to be home most of the day. I haven’t been tested with kids or cats. My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering and vetting care. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here
