Gender: Female Size: 7lbs Breed: Chi/Weiner mix Good in a home with: Other dogs and kids Looking for a tiny addition to your family? Look no further! Psst! Hey! Look down here! It’s me, Cleo! I bet you’re surprised to see someone so small, huh? I’m a female chihuahua mix and I weigh only 6.5 pounds. My foster family thinks I might be mixed with wiener dog based on my build and personality! But either way, since I’m a 1.5-2 years old - I won’t get any bigger than this. I’ll always be the perfect size to hold! I’m spayed, fully vaccinated, and crate trained. I’m doing really well with my leash training too, and I’m almost fully potty trained. The main thing I’ll need your help with is my confidence. I came to the Cantu Foundation after my first family gave me up because they couldn’t afford to feed me anymore. You’ll have to be patient with me; I can be skittish and will need time to warm up to you. Big dogs and men give me anxiety, but I’m getting more and more accustomed every day. No matter how long it takes for me to get comfortable with you, I promise it’ll be worth it! Once I come out of my shell I’m such a cuddle bug! My foster family says I’m very loving, as well as spunky and a bit mischievous. I have lots of energy and love to play. When I get excited I spin around in circles, and I’ll even play with myself in the mirror! I also love playing with other dogs my size when I get the chance. I really enjoy dog puzzles and chew toys, and I love playing tug of war. I always have a great time outdoors, whether I’m running around, smelling flowers and other plants, or relaxing in the sun! My ideal home would be one where I can get plenty of attention. I’ve never met any little kids or cats before, but I know I love the company of kids ages 6+ and other dogs my size. I’ll be happiest if I have a buddy to play with. Without one, I might get lonely. I have a bit of separation anxiety if I’m left by myself. Being around other dogs also increases my confidence because I can follow them around and learn from what they do. I may be small, but I have a huge heart and a lot of love to give! Do you think I’d make a good addition to your family? You can apply to adopt me at http://www.thecantufoundation.org/adopt.html! My adoption fee is $300, which pays for the spay surgery and vaccinations I’ve already had, as well as a microchip before I go home with you. With the right person, I can really blossom. I hope it’s you! |
