I’m 50 pounds and already neutered, so I should be just about done growing. I’m also already fully vaccinated. I’m potty trained but I need some work on my leash training, and I haven’t had any crate training since I don’t use one. I think I’ll do well with whatever you want to teach me, though. Border collies are known to be extremely smart! That also means I’ll need plenty of mental stimulation, which will help manage my moderate separation anxiety. The Cantu Foundation rescued me after I was abandoned under a bridge. I’m so happy to be living in a real home now, and I can’t wait to find my forever family! There’s a whole lot of words my foster family would use to describe me… Happy, enthusiastic, loveable, sweet, and energetic are just a few. I can sometimes be shy about new things but I’m quick to warm up to people. Before you know it I’ll be jumping into your lap looking for cuddles! I’m a very engaging companion, so if you’re looking for an active and exciting new friend, I think I’d be the perfect pup for you. I’d also be the perfect pup for you if you have any pests. One of my favorite things to do is chase and hunt things in the yard, like gophers, rodents and rabbits. I’d make a wonderful farm dog! My ideal home would be with an active owner. I’d love to be someone’s hiking and/or running partner someday. A big yard would be great so I can chase things around, too. If I can have access to the outdoors at all times, that would be best. Having people who stay home a lot would be nice because I really love being with humans! I love all dogs and kids too, and would be very happy with a doggy and/or human sibling, but I am NOT a fan of cats. If I go to a home with children it would probably be best if they were a little older, since I am still a baby and learning my manners. What do you think? I bet you’re already filling out an adoption application at http://www.thecantufoundation.org/adopt.html! The fee to adopt me is $450, which pays for the vaccinations and neuter surgery I already received as well as a microchip. I can’t wait to be your new best friend! |
