Long is a curious and sweet Terrier-Chihuahua mix born on April 28, 2025. He’s still just a baby, expected to grow to around 15 pounds full-grown. Long’s story started out rough—he and his siblings were found in a box next to a dumpster. But despite his tough beginnings, he’s thriving in foster care and quickly learning the joys of being safe, loved, and free to explore.

Long’s Best Qualities:

Playful Pup: Long loves to romp around and explore. Whether it's a game of chase or a good backyard dig, he’s all about fun and discovery.

Social and Friendly: He’s very social and enjoys interacting with people and other animals. He’s already showing signs of being a confident little companion.

Affectionate with Potential: He’s moderately affectionate now and growing more cuddly as he bonds with his humans.

Smart and Curious: Long’s natural curiosity makes him a fast learner—he’s always observing and figuring things out.

A Few Things to Note:

As a young puppy, Long is still learning the ropes. He is pee pad trained but has not yet been crate or leash trained. He hasn't had many public outings yet, and his reactions to car rides, kids, or cats are still unknown. Since he’s still developing his personality, he’ll benefit from consistent structure, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement as he grows.

Long’s Dream Home:

Long would do well in many types of homes—whether with a single person, couple, or a family with other pets. He loves having a yard to explore and dig in, but he’s young and adaptable enough to adjust to apartment living with the right exercise and enrichment. Because he's still a puppy, he needs a home that can offer time, guidance, and love as he grows into his best self.
