Hi! My name’s Gordita, and well, I’ve recently lost some weight. You see, I came to the States VERY pregnant! Once here, I delivered six beautiful babies and ever since, I’ve been working on getting my beach body back.
I’m a 1-2-year-old, female, Sheppard mix weighing roughly 40 lbs. I had a rough go these past couple of years, but things got extra stressful when I got pregnanton the streets of Mexico. Growing healthy babies is hard, especially when you have no hoomans to depend on. I would show up to the same taco shop every day in hopes someone would offer me scraps. It was a sad time. Luckily, some kind hoomans from TCF rescued me in the nick of time. I am both house and leash trained, and am working on mastering the crate.
Something you should know about me—I just want to be with my people. I’m not high energy and would love nothing more than to just lay by your side. I also love a nice sun bath and do amazing in the car (road trip, anyone?). My foster mom has even brought me to work with her, and I just lay on my blanket while munching on my bully stick. I also love going to my foster sister’s softball games. If I’m being honest, it was a nice excuse to people watch, get pets, and catch a nap in the sun...Shh.
My perfect furever home would be with someone who cherishes me. I’m an easy going, go-with-flow kind of girl, so I would do well in a high energy or low energy household. I love other doggos, kitties, and people of all ages, making me about as close to perfection as you can get. Did I mention I’m humble, too? Ultimately, I’ve had a stressful first few years of life and am just looking to settle down with someone I can rely on and give my whole heart to. If that sounds like you, fill out the form on the website here http://www.thecantufoundation.org/adopt.html. My adoption fee is $450 and that includes spaying and vetting care.
