My name is Kay, and I’m a 9-month-old male Whippet mix. I’m 45 pounds (and counting!) and the goodest boy you’ll ever meet. Need proof? Well, I’m already fully potty trained and crate trained, I love all people, dogs, and even cats too! The only things I need work on are my leash training and my manners with people – I tend to jump when I get excited. But my foster family says I’m very smart, so I’m sure I’ll learn quickly! I’m adapting well to life in a home, and I can’t wait to have my own family to love. As a puppy I lived on the streets, but I desperately wanted a family. I found a human friend who gave me food and water, and she even made me a little shelter to live in until the Cantu Foundation rescued me and found me a foster home. I’m extremely sweet, energetic, and loveable. My favorite things to do are run and play, so I’ll do really well with a family who can give me exercise. After I’ve gotten some of my energy out I can be very calm. One way to give me exercise is to let me run with you while you ride your bike! I’m getting really good at that. Living in an active home or having another animal friend to run around with would be a dream come true. I love to be part of a pack, so I’d prefer not to be left alone too often. I do have some mild separation anxiety. My adoption fee is $350, which covers the vaccinations and neuter surgery I have already received as well as a microchip before I go home with you.
