Name’s Martin! (No relation to Ricky, although we ARE both Latin).
I’m a two-and-a-half-year-old, male Terrier/Basset mix, tipping the scales at a solid 24 lbs. My pregnant mama and I were scooped up off the streets of Mexico after a good Samaritan made a Facebook post about us. Trying to navigate the rough streets of TJ together, my mama and I were in rough shape when finally rescued. I’m talkin’ very weak, anemic, and covered in ticks and foxtails – yeah, let’s just say this flawless coat and body weren’t lookin’ or feelin’ too hot. Fortunately, things have really began to look up since being fostered in San Diego!
Life in SD looks MUCH different than life on the streets. I spend my days eating treats and venturing to the dog park to visit my amigos. I’m great on a leash and know to go potty outside. I’m still working on being comfortable in a crate, but that’s just because there’s so much to see and do now that I don’t have to be in survival mode! Overall, I’m a chill, loving little dude who wants to be friends with all creeds and breeds (including little hoomans)!
My ideal furever home would be with someone who is gone for short periods of time, ideally with another friendly doggo who I can romp around with – respectfully, of course. I’m tellin’ ya, I’m just a gentle, happy little guy that just wants snuggles, walks, and treats! Let’s make it paw-fficial, shall we? I promise to be the goodest boy and compliment your family perfectly. My adoption fee is $400, which covers my first year of vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. Come on!!
