I’m a 2 or 3 year old lab/shepherd mix, and I’m also the goodest girl there ever was. I weigh about 70 pounds (the bigger the dog, the more to hug!) and I’m fully vaccinated and spayed already. I’m fully potty trained and making great strides with my leash training - no pun intended. The only training I haven’t received is crate training. Why is that, you may ask? Well, I happen to be a bit on the claustrophobic side. I don’t like small rooms, small spaces, or crates. But I’ve always been a good girl when left home alone without one… And aside from my claustrophobia, I’m not an anxious dog at all. I rarely even bark or jump! The Cantu Foundation rescued me after I was abandoned in Mexico. Even though I’ve had a sad past, I still love all people (kids included!) and all dogs. I just haven’t met any cats, so I’ll have to keep you posted on that. According to my foster family, I’m very mellow and passive. I play well with my foster sibling (a dog 40 pounds lighter than I am) but I mostly just like to lay in my bed and get pet. I want to be with my people whenever I can! My favorite thing to do is follow my foster mom around the house. I’m a very loyal girl. I’m pretty flexible when it comes to my ideal forever home. I’d do well regardless of if there are other dogs in the home or not. I’m moderately active, so I’ll need walks and playtime with you, but I don’t typically engage in high-energy play. I’d probably be happiest in a family with someone who works from home or is home more often than not. I’m eager to please, quick to learn, and overall just a really wonderful dog. I would even be a good companion for a single person since I’m so loving. I’m not loud, but I make the cutest little grunts and happy noises to communicate with people. I just want to be friends with everybody! How about you? Do you want to be my friend – or even my forever family? You can apply to adopt me at http://www.thecantufoundation.org/adopt.html. The adoption fee is just $400, which covers all of the vaccinations and the spay surgery I already received, as well as a microchip when I’m ready to go home with you. I think we could be the best of pals… don’t you? |
