Gender: Male Size: 12 lbs Breed: Shepard/lab mix Good in a home with: dogs cats and children Ponchito Hey, I’m Ponchito, a 4 month old male shepherd/lab mix ready to find my forever family! I weigh about 12 pounds right now but I will get bigger! I was found alone on a soccer field in Mexico and am so happy that the amazing humans at The Cantu Foundation saved me and are helping me get adopted because I was really lonely out there wandering around for a week. Like all puppies, I have some work to do in order to learn good dog manners and behavior and I’m hoping that my new family will be ready to help me with all of those things. I’m working on my potty training and am working on using pee pads, don’t have experience with leash walking yet since I’m not fully vaccinated yet - but I’m working on it. I am great with other dogs with a proper introduction, great with human kids, but haven’t met any cats yet. I have a very energetic, loving and playful personality and while I can be a bit timid when introduced to new people or dogs, I warm right up once I get a quick sniff! I do well on car rides and love to play fetch. I love napping and am a great companion around the house. I’m perfectly happy just hanging out with my people. I’ll do best in a home that understands the time and devotion that it takes to teach a puppy, but I am smart and I do catch on quickly and am highly motivated by treats. I’d love the socialization of another dog in the home and gentle human kids would be great too so we can grow up together!
