“Rainbows have a way of making the world seem right.” -Anthony T. Hincks

Hey there! I heard you’ve been looking for a rainbow to brighten up your sky. So here I am! My name is Rainbow and I’m a 2-year-old female shepherd mix. You probably think that rainbows are weightless, but you’d be wrong… I weigh 50 pounds, and every single pound is a pound of cuteness! I’m pretty much the perfect dog and I’m already set to go home with you. Vaccinations? Check. Spay surgery? Check. Potty and leash training? Check and check. The only kind of training I haven’t received is crate training, and that’s just because I’ve never needed to use a crate before. Separation anxiety? Never heard of it!

I used to be a stray in Mexico, The Cantu Foundation rescued me and brought me to San Diego! I was then adopted by my foster mom - a couple of months after being adopted, my mom suffered a traumatic accident and was hospitalized 😞. Her family couldn’t care for me so TCF took me back in! There been a lot of change in my life lately but now I’m ready for my forever home!

I hope that home is with you! I absolutely love to be pet – in fact, it’s one of my favorite things, along with going for walks. I do really well on a leash, and I’m a good girl in the car too. Not only that, but I love all dogs and kids, so I’d fit in well with almost any family. The only thing I’m not sure about is cats, but I might love them too if I ever get the chance to meet one. My foster family says I’m very sweet, attentive, calm, and well behaved. And cute too, of course! I listen well and I’ve never acted even remotely aggressive in any situation.

I hope I can go to a forever home that has a yard I can play in. As a young shepherd mix, I definitely need my exercise! I can also go to a home with or without other dogs – I’ll be happy either way. The only reason I would want to be the only dog in a family is so that I can have all the pets and love to myself! And since I’m such a good girl, it’s okay if my owner isn’t home all the time. But it would be great if they were!

Well, that’s it! Have I convinced you yet? If you’re ready to apply to adopt me, you can fill out an application at http://www.thecantufoundation.org/adopt.html. My adoption fee is $300, which will cover a microchip for me as well as all of the vaccinations and the spay surgery I’ve already had. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and apply, and I promise I’ll live up to my name and add tons of joy to your life.
