Hi there! I'm Lila, a sweet three-year-old German shorthaired pointer mix with a heart as big as my happy bounce. My journey started a bit rough, living outdoors in Mexico after a difficult past, but thanks to some kind souls, I made it to a shelter and am now soaking up all the comforts of a foster home. I've been on a grand adventure, and let me
tell you, life indoors is truly pointing me to a brighter future! I weigh a comfortable 55 lbs and am ready to point my nose towards my
forever family.
Here are a few things that make me, well, me:
The Happy Hopper – Going for walks is the highlight of my day! I get so thrilled that I perform an adorable little happy bounce before politely sitting for pets, ready to explore.
Crate Comfort Queen – My crate is my personal sanctuary; I love napping and even snoring sweetly in there, finding it incredibly calm
and comforting.
Affectionate Leaner – If you start petting me, be prepared for a full-body lean-in! I adore affection and will press into you with all my might, soaking up every stroke.
Brainy Beauty – Despite never living indoors before, I'm super smart and a quick study! I already know "sit," respond to both verbal and hand signals, and I'm doing a fantastic job letting my foster parents
know when I need to go potty outside.
I'm truly an eager pleaser with a gentle soul and a wonderfully resilient spirit. While I'm quite the calm and sweet companion at home, the big, wide world outside is still a bit new to me. Unfamiliar noises, new dogs, and even a gust of wind can make me a little
nervous, as I'm still learning that the world is a safe place. My foster family helps me by sticking to familiar routes, stopping when I get a little unsure, and letting me decide which way to go when I need
a moment. The good news is, I always calm down and get back to enjoying our stroll once I've moved past whatever was causing my worry! When it comes to new friends, I benefit from slow introductions, preferring to get to know new pals at my own gentle
pace. I’m making great strides with my leash manners and am a fast learner, ready to continue my training journey with you.
My adoption fee is $400, this fee covers my first year ofvaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. Do I sound like the dog for you? You can fill out an application to adopt me at
