Hi, I'm Elena!

I am a female, 18-pound, pug/chi mix. I was born April 1, 2024 and am one year old. I am spayed and fully vaccinated. I am so lucky to have been rescued by the Cantu Foundation. I was found chained 24/7 to the floor outside a van in Mexico. I spent some time at the Cantu Foundation Sanctuary in Mexico where I made some good friends! I finally crossed the border and moved to a foster home in San Diego on August 3, 2025.

Here's why I am the greatest:

Well-Behaved: I am fully potty trained, I do not need a crate, and I walk very well on a leash. I do very well staying at home by myself while my hoomans are at work. I also do well at public, social gatherings and in the car. You can bring me anywhere!

Friendly & Social With Everyone: I love everyone! I get along well with other doggos, cats, and little hoomans.

Cuddle Buddy: I love cuddles on the couch. Please give me a belly rub too!! I am very affectionate and just wanna cuddle with my hooman.

Fun-Loving: I love playing and running. I will be your adventure buddy.

My foster family describes me as sweet, loving, and fun. I have moderate energy and independence. I also love playing with other dogs, car rides, going out for a walk and treats!

What's my dream home?

I would do great in any home. I do not need a lot of space to stay active but I definitely like going for walks or playing with my toys to let some energy out. I am great with other dogs and children. I am also friendly and respectful with cats that need their own space. I cannot wait to find my furever home.
