Some say my name, Nonna, sounds like 'grandma,' and at 8 years young, I suppose I have a certain seasoned charm, but trust me, I'm not ready for rocking chairs just yet! I'm a beautiful 42-pound Sharpee mix, and while my past started a little rough, being left behind in TJ, I've learned that new beginnings are full of promise and soft landings. My foster family says I'm a perfect houseguest, fully potty trained, and I love having the freedom to explore the yard and come inside as I please.

Snuggle Specialist There's nothing I love more than being close to my people, whether it's curling up on the couch or just being nearby for gentle pets. I'm a true cuddle bug and a lover at heart.

Plush Toy Pal My collection of lamby and other soft toys is very important to me! I love to gently mouth them, carry them around, and share my quiet joy with you.

Treat-Smart Student I am incredibly motivated by treats, which makes learning new things or just reinforcing good habits a fun game for both of us. It's how I show I'm an eager pleaser!

Gentle Homebody While I appreciate my freedom to potter around the yard, my favorite place is always beside you, making me an expert at relaxing and creating a calm atmosphere.

When it comes to my ideal home, I'm truly a gentle soul looking for a peaceful environment where I can be your one and only furry companion. I prefer to not share my space with other dogs, as I've found I do my best as the star of the show. I am still learning the ropes on leash manners and can be a little sensitive to loud sounds, so a patient home that understands these needs would be perfect. Off-leash, I haven't really had the chance to socialize, but on a leash, other dogs tend to make me a bit uncomfortable, so a quiet walking route or a fenced yard for my exercise would be ideal. I sleep soundly through the night, preferring to stretch out on a comfy dog bed rather than use a crate. I promise to fill your home with quiet devotion and endless snuggles, always eager to please and share my gentle spirit.

My adoption fee is $150, this fee covers my first year of vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. Do I sound like the dog for you? You can fill out an application to adopt me at http://www.thecantufoundation.org/adopt.html
